This Position is for an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering with a public university work location in University, MS.

Position Description

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Mississippi invites applications for a permanent non-tenure track faculty position at the INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level to begin in August 2025. Primary responsibilities will include instruction of undergraduate chemical engineering courses and may include participation in the management, supervision, and instruction of the undergraduate teaching laboratories. Additional duties may include advising student organizations and participation in recruiting and orientation events. The opportunity for advancement to the rank of Instructional Associate Professor and Instructional Professor is available.

Minimum Qualifications

All candidates are required to have earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field before beginning this position. Competitive candidates will have demonstrable teaching ability, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an energetic commitment to undergraduate education.
