Job Description
Position Purposes
Lead logistics team to ensure that mill objectives are met or exceeded for customer service, safety, quality, productivity, costs, housekeeping and storage/shipping/receiving handling of materials.

Scope
This position reports to the Owensboro Tissue Product System Leader. The position is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the distribution department. The position possesses a good level of understanding of the functional area and provides leadership in a team setting. The position will also lead distribution projects to drive warehouse efficiencies, modifications or improvements. The position serves as a liaison for and resource to the third-party operations when it relates to raw materials and finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Create 5 plus year vision for the Logistics / Distribution Operations in line with K-C Professional goals and objectives.
Set challenging but realistic SMART goals within areas of accountability.
Develop daily plans that maximize warehouse utilization and assure smooth functioning of Logistics / Distribution Operations.
Provide direct leadership and coaching to distribution crew leaders, coordinators and other personnel to achieve department objectives and exceed plant, external customer and corporate requirements.
Maintains and executes required internal controls as published by the Mill Internal Control Oversite Program.
Manage and maintain inventory control within KC standards.
Partner with and assist 3rd party labor provider for distribution, warehouse and transportation services with focus on best practice and continuous improvement implementation.
Establish/maintain working conditions and safety attitudes consistent with mill objectives.
Develop/implement cost improvement programs through implementation of logistics and distribution best practices.
Foster an environment conducive to favorable employee relations.
Establish/maintain housekeeping standards in conformance to K-C and government regulations.
Properly manage materials handling equipment including tractor fleet, lift trucks and mobile equipment.
Develop and implement programs that ensure the handling of raw materials and finished product is done in a safe manner.
Implement loss control throughout the organization by visibly demonstrating that safety is embraced as a value. Develop and maintain safety systems in accordance with K-C loss control management and lead their groups to complete safety objectives and ensure a safe and productive work environment. Create and support the environment that removes barriers to success.
Participates in development for Supply Chain Excellence strategy
Maintain systems and procedures in raw materials and finished products in accordance with quality objectives.
Maintain housekeeping programs which meet or exceed department and plant objectives.
Manage Cost of Manufacturing for the Distribution department (i.e. operating supplies, maintenance, labor, gap closure savings, etc.).
Provide for the most cost-effective storage, retrieval and issuing of raw materials by the plant.
Ensure that appropriate distribution assets and equipment are available and properly maintained.
Manage OGSIM as it pertains to the Logistics area of accountability.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred and/or 4 plus years of experience in logistics or other technical area.
Demonstration of capability to facilitate projects/focus groups in a team environment while providing team leadership.
Ability to organize change, builds relationships, and make good use of available resources.
Ability to confront problems and handle conflict.
Ability to problem solve and set priorities, generating new ideas and improved ways of working while maintaining effective control.

Total rewards at Kimberly-Clark includes pay and a full package of benefits that can be tailored to individual needs. The anticipated pay range for this job has a range of $75,000 to $100,000 in addition to bonus potential.
