Kentucky Wesleyan College Director of Alumni Engagement in Owensboro, Kentucky
Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence, invites applications for a full-time Director of Alumni Engagement to join our community. The Director of Alumni Engagement will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Kentucky Wesleyan College Alumni Association, fostering meaningful connections between alumni, students, and the College.Major Responsibilities • Develop and maintain a visionary alumni engagement program that connects alumni with the College. • Cultivate relationships with alumni to enhance engagement and identify prospects for philanthropic support. • Lead planning and execution of signature events, including Homecoming and regional/national alumni gatherings. • Serve as the institutional leader for the Alumni Association Board of Directors. • Support Board committees in advancing strategic initiatives of the College. • Oversee alumni communications, including newsletters, social media, and other digital platforms. • Manage and develop the annual budget for alumni engagement programs and initiatives. • Represent the College in various external settings, including community events and alumni and friend visits. • Support career and professional development initiatives for KWC students and alumni. • Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as travel, is required.Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; master’s degree preferred. • Experience in community or alumni relations with preference for higher education organizations. • Knowledge of factors driving philanthropic and alumni engagement behaviors. • Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and relationship-building. • Experience with alumni and donor databases, preferably Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge.Compensation and BenefitsThis full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including the following: • Insurance - health, dental, vision, supplemental • Life insurance at no cost to the employee • Paid time off - 21 days per year • Paid holidays - 20 days per year • Retirement plan • Free tuition at KWC after one year plus tuition arrangements with hundreds of other colleges and universitiesThis position is exempt and will be paid on a salary basis.
