The Work
As a Central Utility Plant Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical systems. This includes refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, chillers, air compressors, electric motors, diesel generators, pumps, heaters, and boilers. You will also be tasked with ensuring the functionality of essential utility systems, such as water treatment systems, by performing chemical analysis and treatment.
You will be required to operate, maintain, and adjust equipment for optimal performance. Your role includes performing routine checks on equipment, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing preventative maintenance to keep systems in top working order. The work also involves using building automation systems (Allen Bradley, Symex, GE, Trane Tracer Summit, Siemens) to monitor and make adjustments to equipment settings, ensuring maximum efficiency.
In addition, you'll be responsible for documenting system performance, such as temperature, pressure, water levels, and chemical usage, ensuring accurate record-keeping for all CUP systems. You will support plant operations, maintenance, and other teams, contributing to the overall efficiency of the site.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in operating and maintaining industrial systems, particularly within a Central Utility Plant. You are an expert in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, and generators. You have experience with water treatment, chemical analysis, and building automation systems in a manufacturing setting. You are comfortable working with CMMS software and able to plan, prioritize, and execute work independently or within a team environment.
You are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining systems at optimal performance levels. You can provide clear communication, lead projects, and collaborate effectively with other teams, vendors, and support groups to resolve issues. A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

Basic Qualifications:
Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and minimum 1-3 years of experience in power plant operation and central utility plant maintenance with demonstrated mechanical, electrical, and pipe-fitting experience.
Experience with predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance practices.
Flexibility to work multiple shifts or schedules as Facilities and equipment needs dictate
The candidate will be expected to be on a rotating weekend coverage schedule, working 1 out of every 6 weekends. Also will be expected to work over site shutdown weekends extended hours and some holidays to complete tasks.
Desired Skills:
Experience with operating, maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Tower, Air Compressors, Generators, RO Water Systems, Pumps, Fans, Motors, Variable Speed Drives along with Chemical Analysis and treatment.
Knowledge of Building Automations Systems (Allen Bradley, GE, Trane Tracer Summit, Siemens, Symex) in a Central Utility Plant and Manufacturing Environment.
Background with CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) software with the ability to plan, prioritize and execute work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $56,100 - $107,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $64,500 - $116,800.
