Viracon LLC Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance and electrical techicians, including planning and scheduling repairs, assigning tasks to technicians, ensuring proper maintenance procedures are followed, inspecting facilities and production equipment to identify issues, and managing the budget for maintenance activities, all while prioritizing safety and compliance with relevant regulations. Essential Job Responsibilities: Develop and recommend proposals for improved maintenance methods, procedures and equipment directed at reducing downtimes while maintaining quality standards. Continuously drives improvement within their area of responsibility by having an improved future-state vision, setting goals that move toward that vision and taking the actions required to achieve those goals. Plan and direct the activities of the Maintenance and Electrical Technicians. Assist maintenance personal in troubleshooting problems with the machine or the process. Ensures scheduled work orders are completed on time within the maintenance software Keep abreast of developments in processes and equipment applicable to the Glass Industry. Interface with vendors as needed. Administer disciplinary measures, employee performance reviews and recommend change of status and wage adjustments in accordance with company policies. Ensure compliance with all Local, State and Federal guidelines. Develops and trains direct reports in order to maximize their professional growth and potential. Provides meaningful feedback through regularly scheduled meetings, and performance evaluations. Assists with all aspects of capital projects as assigned. Implements and supports Continuous Improvement throughout the organization. Work closely with the engineering group Will abide by and support Viracon safety and personnel policies. Will perform reasonably similar, or related, duties as assigned. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Qualifications: Applicants with an Associate Degree in Maintenance and/or Electrical will be considered. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred. Knowledge in the operation of glass manufacturing equipment used in the glass industry. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to operate computer equipment for word processing, trend analysis, and maintenance software is also required. Demonstrated leadership skills. The candidate must be highly organized and able to juggle several projects at once. A strong work ethic is required. While the work schedule is basically first shift, the candidate must be available to work evenings, night shifts and weekends on an as needed basis. Ability to read, write and understand work instructions. Regular full-time attendance. Safely perform essential job responsibilities. Oversee repairs and ensure that the work is completed on time. Conduct follow-ups on maintenance and repair work. Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time. Promotes Viracon in a safe, positive manner and obeys all policies.
