Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Candidates will be on the Front End Maintainer line where they will be initiating the can making process and are responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the cupping press, body makers, trimmers, and conveying system.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the can making process and manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of the cupping press, body makers, trimmers, and conveying system.

• Inspect, upend, and load coils onto the unwinder and feed coils through the lubricator and into the press.

• Perform setup, maintenance, and operation of the upender, unwinder, lubricator, and cupping press.

• Conduct visual checks and cup weights to ensure process compliance and take appropriate measures as needed.

• Assist in other areas as needed to maintain smooth can flow through the plant.

Essential Skills

• Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

• Basic understanding of electrical components.

• Ability to use precision measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with general production and machine operation.

• Background in food manufacturing is beneficial.

Work Environment

Candidates will be working a 4 on 4 off schedule from 6pm to 6am. The workplace involves handling hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components with the use of precision measurement tools. Dress code and safety protocols are enforced to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.64 - $24.64
