Duties

Guide the selection of enterprise technologies. Explain technologies and design concepts to leaders. Provide examples of pattern implementations. Create proof of concepts (PoC) or lead the creation of PoCs. Import technology thought leadership that enables digital business and operating models. Review architectures and designs of peers, counsel the organization in the art of the possible. Find and roadmap opportunities to enable underserved areas and to enable strategic capabilities through digital platforms. Drive the organization’s digital business strategies through innovation and digital capabilities. Provide visibility into operational execution issues. Provide assessments on organizational readiness to change and innovate. Consult with business leaders and stakeholders who seek actionable recommendations to make digital investment decisions about the next business and operating model for their business line. Support the development and execution of business strategy through diagnostic and actionable deliverables that guide investment. Analyze future-state capabilities, detect critical deficiencies and recommend digital solutions to drive the business forward. Identify organizational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support enterprise architecture strategies. Lead analysis of the digital ecosystem to detect strategy impacting deficiencies and recommend resolution approaches. Develop standards and minimal viable architectures for the EA governance model. Ensure consistency of deliveries with enterprise architecture. Improve speed to value and time to market. Oversee EA implementations and continuous improvement activities. Oversee the documentation of architectural design and analysis work. No hire/fire authority. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, or related discipline, and ten years of related experience. Must have hands-on development experience with Node.js, Java, or Python within the past 3 years, including micro-services. Must have experience with technologies related to RPA, ML, AR, VR, IoT, or blockchain. Must have experience in at least two of: Azure Cloud, Google, and AWS Cloud. Must have experience developing and delivering mission critical applications and secure cloud native applications and REST APIs. Must have experience with privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA. Must have experience analyzing and resolving system and application issues. Must have experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using tools including Jenkins, and one of: Azure DevOps, AWS Code-build, and Code Pipeline. Must have experience in requirements gathering, requirement analysis, coding, unit testing, automated unit testing. Must have experience with automation across private and public cloud environments to include at least two of the following: AWS, Azure, and GCP. Must have experience in scrum alliance agile ceremonies, from a developer or architect perspective. Must have experience using container-based deployments, including Kubernetes. Must have experience developing and deploying solutions that use cloud native components including serverless functions and databases. Must have experience with Terraform. Telecommuting is permissible within a reasonable commuting distance from the Overland Park, KS office. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
