Electrical Drafter - Substation

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter to focus on the physical design aspects of substations, including general arrangements, ground grids, elevation views, electrical layouts, and conduit drawings. The ideal candidate will work with software such as AutoCAD & SDS and will be responsible for the calculation of AC/DC loads, bus spans, and ampacity.

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of substation drafting and design experience.

• Design and develop general arrangements for substations.

• Create and update ground grids and elevation views.

• Draft electrical layouts and conduit drawings.

• Utilize software such as AutoCAD and SDS for design tasks.

• Perform calculations of AC/DC loads, bus spans, and ampacity.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SDS software.

• Experience in electrical drafting and design.

• Strong understanding of substation design and power systems.

• Ability to perform detailed calculations for AC/DC loads, bus spans, and ampacity.

Work Environment

• This position is based in an office environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
