Program Delivery Coordinator

Telesat Lightspeed is a state-of-the-art satellite constellation of highly advanced satellites in low-earth-orbit that will seamlessly integrate with terrestrial networks. The global network will deliver fiber quality throughput anywhere on earth. We are growing quickly and are currently in need of an experienced and professional Program Delivery Coordinator to join our team.

The Program Delivery Coordinator plays a crucial role within the Program Delivery Division, reporting directly to the Lightspeed Segment Program Delivery Manager in the Program Delivery Office. This position involves administering and coordinating various activities across the Lightspeed Program Delivery Office, making it ideal for junior-level professionals aiming to gain valuable project management experience

The ideal candidate has prior experience supporting development programs and is eager to contribute to a dynamic, diverse team known for its excellence. Lightspeed Program Delivery Coordinator will work closely with Program Delivery Office team to perform the activities described below.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Tools Administration for PMO: Maintain processes and procedures for tools administration, ensuring alignment with PMO standards and practices, as well as monitoring program tool access, ensuring proper permissions and access control.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on program access administration, process and training updates, and action item status. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities and reviews.

  • Support Process Management and Training Coordination: Assist in the release and maintenance of processes and training materials. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely updates and improvements to processes and training content

  • Coordinate Program-Level Reviews: Work with stakeholders across the program on planning, logistics, support, documentation, and action items for program-wide monthly, quarterly, and design reviews.

  • Program-Level Action Items Management: Track and manage program-level action items from program reviews, quarterly reviews, and milestone reviews. Coordinate program-level reviews, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and prepared.

Education & Experience Required

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of experience coordinating projects, preferably on a telecoms/engineering field

  • Create, log and track of communications and documents for the project

  • Intermediate skill level MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with Primavera, SharePoint, Jira and Confluence are considered an asset

  • Aptitude and desire to learn new tools and techniques quickly

  • Positive attitude (solution-oriented and ability to deal with ambiguity)

  • Professionalism and takes direction well; organized, displays sound judgment, has solid problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace, changing environment

Decision Making & Supervision

  • This role supports Lightspeed Program team via the Program Delivery Office. As the Program Delivery Coordinator you will be expected to make informed recommendations to the Lightspeed Program Delivery Division leadership.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are typical of an office environment.

  • Occasional travel, including international travel, is possible.

  • The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
