TEKsystems Junior Project Coordinator in Ottawa, Ontario

Position Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and project management support for TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) engagements in a support function aligned to the Practice Delivery organization in a shared, collaborative partnership in order to achieve overall Delivery and Operational Excellence. Additionally, a Project Coordinator may be assigned tasks/initiatives in support of Practice development. The role works in a dynamic environment performing time sensitive administrative tasks in support of custom training development and consultative/advisory services projects. The Project Coordinator partners with team members across multiple active projects to meet deliverables timelines and objectives.
Success in this role requires a detail- and results-oriented individual who takes pride in accomplishing assignments and supporting several different tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The selected individual must demonstrate situational adaptability, a positive attitude, and the desire to partner with virtual team members while working on multiple projects and internal Practice assignments.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Support Project Managers by performing, but not limited to the following:
o Initial project setup and interim change activities
o Processing team member on-/off-boarding forms (FTE and Consultant)
o Financial management setup and support (budget creation, system updates, financial reviews, and invoice verification) in support of PMLC / PDF compliance
o Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve project administrative issues (primarily with internal Financial teams)
• Resource Management
o Project resource onboarding / off-boarding
o ESF / PCN
o Approve project timesheets
o Financial Management
o PeopleSoft data validation
o Approve project expenses
o PeopleSoft Budgeting support
o Invoice Validation
o Financial Review
o PCR support

Qualifications
Must have or be eligible for Enhanced Reliability clearance
• Experience supporting projects and/or project coordination
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Litmos
• Prior experience working in an education or training environment
• Experience working with cross-functional and virtual teams, a plus
