Serco IT Implementation Program Manager in Ottawa, Ontario

Position Description

As the Technology Implementation and Integration Manager you will lead and manage the implementation and integration of technology solutions across multiple programs. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth integration of technology solutions from various internal and external teams as well as build strong relationships and work effectively across multiple levels of the organization. You will present technological solutions to non-technical audiences, facilitate the detailed business and functional requirements from groups and individuals. Be the problem solver and focal point to our clients.

You will work with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technology solutions that meet those requirements . You will provide business analysis expertise in process mapping, requirements gathering, and matching technology to business process all focused on facilities management. You will document business, functional, and system requirements. Your additional documentation will include processes, user roles, report definition, data mapping, and technical needs.

This job is crucial to providing our clients superior and leading-edge services through the lifecycle of implementing software applications that enable facility and asset management operations for our customers, including financial, HR, and active directory integrations.

This position will be based in the Ottawa Region .

In this role you will:

  • Provide strategy and large-scale design leadership for implementing enterprise technology solutions.

  • Leverage your experience and expertise to ensure the project team delivers process mapping and requirements gathering deliverables that ensure the technology solution matches to the customer’s business process.

  • Ensure the customer receives document business, functional, and system requirements.

  • Lead the implementation and integrations of technology solutions.

  • Manage the solution architecture and design authority for the technology ecosystem.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technology solutions that meet those requirements.

  • Provide technical expertise to project teams and assist with problem-solving as needed.

  • Create and Manage the technology integration project schedule, resources, and budget to ensure successful completion of the project.

  • Provide status updates at stakeholder and Senior Management level.

  • Work with different teams to remove obstacles and ensure timely delivery.

  • Ensure that all technology solutions meet business and technical requirements and comply with company policies and standards.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project team members, senior management, and sub-contractors.

  • Lead and participate in all phases of the Software Implementation to include:

  • Business process mapping & reengineering.

  • Requirements gathering.

  • Functional and systemic documentation.

  • User Acceptance Testing.

  • Report Design.

  • Contingency Planning.

  • End User Training and Documentation.

  • End User Communication.

  • Document/create deliverables for customers.

  • Go Live support.

  • Help Desk and Training.

  • Communications and Change Management planning and coordination.

  • Contract scope, schedule, and delivery compliance for IM/IT activities.

  • Report Distribution.

  • Other related duties relevant to this position as may be required.

Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the operations including occupational health and safety, environmental, drug and alcohol, and quality

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technology management role with a focus on technology integration, solution architecture, and design authority.

  • Minium of 15+ years of work experience in software implementations.

  • Experience in leading large technology integration projects involving multiple distributed teams and vendors.

  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Must have

  • Experience with Facilities and Asset Management Processes.

  • Experience leading teams implementing technology solutions such as Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) or Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).

  • Must have experience with IBM Maximo , IBMTRIRIGA or similar Enterprise Asset Management and Facilities Management software.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in managing budgets and financials related to technology projects.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Must be willingto travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Able to rapidly understand different business processes and then ensure technology solutions are responsive to increase efficiencies which is crucial to providing our clients world class service.

  • As an expert in software implementations, able to present technological solutions to non-technical audiences, facilitate the detailed business and functional requirements from groups and individuals.

  • Problem solver and focal point to our clients.

  • Must be able to Pass Criminal Record Check (CPIC).

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Azure, AWS , TRIRIGA and Maximo Training are a plus.

  • Familiarity and experience supporting the Government of Ontario IT Standards (GO-ITS) and Canadian Security Standards is a plus.

  • Bilingual (English/French) is a plus.
