Introduction
Bureau Veritas Inspectorate Laboratories is recruiting a permanent Laboratory Analyst. This position is based at Alton laboratory and will be reporting to the Lab Manager.

National certificate/ Matric passed
Fluent English read and write
Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
JobSpecification
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to the Management System which complies with SANS ISO/IEC 17025 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards.
Perform work according to relevant standards / methods by following National and International Standard procedures including the quality assurance protocols.
Be competent in analytical test methods for coal at the laboratory.
Execute work timeously, ethically and efficiently.
Conduct regular checks and perform basic maintenance on all equipment and instruments used in the Laboratory.
Checking the completed calculations and reports to be correct and forward it to the Senior Analyst within the expected time of analysis.
Do weekly stocktaking of consumables / reagents and instrument spares and initiate ordering through appropriate channels to maintain uninterrupted operation.
Be alert to dangers around yourself and be responsible for your own safety at all times.
