Preamble:
The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of photovoltaic [PV] plants including electrical setups of both DC 7 AC circuits. This role requires technical expertise in electrical engineering, proficiency in PV design and relevant software, and experience in preparing & aid of technical proposals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Understanding and summarizing the technical project requirements
Representing the company as a PV Solar expert in the frequent meetings, workshops, OEM discussions, & multi stakeholder meetings.
Reviewing project PV solar documents, calculations, equipment’s technology reviews, component sizing and overall electrical design for solar PV systems/plants.
Reviewing the LV AC and DC designs of the plant, including cables calculations, grounding calculations, lightening risk assessment, LV panels, trenches designs, etc.
Review and check the conformity of the technical specifications for all equipment and materials comparing to the Owner technical specifications and the local/international standards.
Reviewing Vendor/OEM engineering documents packages for what related to PV Solar, LV AC and MV part of the plant.
Performing PR calculations for PV Solar plants as per IEC standard
Concluding the comments and the recommended status of the engineering submittal in a comment resolution sheet as per the company quality standards.
Doing an on-site inspection and support in milestones certifications as per the IEC and other applicable standards including Local Codes in the Project Country.
Reviewing Project Quality Documents including ITPs, FATs, SATs, OEMs Quality Manuals, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Seven [07] Years Plus of technical experience in mega scale PV Solar projects.
Proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Sketchup, & MS Office.
Highly Knowledgeable in International Codes, mainly: IEC/IEEE standards and Grid codes.
Proficient in English; written and spoken.
Gate-Pass Eligibility within Entire GCC Countries.
PLUS, Merits:
Owner Engineer earlier experience.
Project management / CEM / certificates.
Utility and/or MV and/or BESS experience.
Scientific Patent.
Arabic Language Proficiency.
Middle Eastern Culture Awareness.
Experience with International Developers of Acwa, Masdar, Jinko, Marubeni, Violia, Enova.
