- Lead medical activities (e.g. medical plan, evidence generation, launch readiness, stakeholder engagement etc.) in assigned therapeutic area through collaboration with relevant departments

Development and execution of medical tactics & brand plan :
Lead development of medical plan through collaboration with relevant departments (e.g. commercial, VAP, R&D, WW etc.)
Contribute to development of brand plan from scientific point of view
Identify data gaps and knowledge GAPs based on gathered insights from external stakeholders
Plan and execute advisory board meeting to gather insights from TLs
Grasp the up-to-date scientific information in assigned therapeutic area
Coordinate close collaboration within immunology medical when executing medical tactics
Manage progress and budget spending for each medical tactic
Supervise medical members so that immunology medical team would be more productive
Launch readiness :
Develop mid-long term medical plan including integrated evidence generation (IEG) plan
Lead disease area shaping (e.g. Communicate with thought leaders, set an appropriate treatment environment etc.)
Identify unmet medical needs to update brand/medical plan
Data Generation:
Identify data gaps to develop integrated evidence generation (IEG) plan aligned with brand plan
Develop study protocol to fill the identified data gaps
Execute developed study (e.g. company sponsored research)
Publication :
Develop strategic publication plan
Lead manuscript development and congress presentation
TL engagement :
Identify TLs/investigators/advisors according to medical objective. Maintain and regularly update the TL list
Build good relationships with TLs in a completely manner
Conduct scientific communication with TLs in immunology area
Gather insights from TLs to update brand/medical plan
Answer unsolicited request (on & off label)
Support investigators to execute the research
Medical Education :
Develop medical education plan based on identified knowledge GAPs
Scientifically support educators develop the slide decks to be utilized for medical education events

Knowledge:
Knowledge about Medical Affairs Law, Fair Competition Code (FCC), Promotion Code, and any other applicable regulations in Japan
Knowledge of assigned therapeutic area (e.g. disease mechanism, epidemiology and typical treatment in Japan)
Basic knowledge about composition of drug-related data (e.g. clinical trial, early post marketing phase vigilance, post marketing surveillance etc.)
Skills:
Skills to make right and balanced judgments to achieve win-win status based on mutual understanding for various stakeholders (both internally and externally)
Overall project management skills for schedule, budget, quality control and trouble shooting
Skills to analyze information (TL interactions, surveys, public information), identify needs/risks, translate them into an integrated medical plan, and implement it in a compliant manner
Experiences:
Three years or more experiences in life-science field
Over 1-year experience in Medical Affairs in Japanese industry
First author for at least an original paper (PubMed-cited level) and a congress presentation
Qualifications:
- MD, Veterinarian Doctor, PhD or MS in medical/pharmaceutical/veterinarian/life-science area
Language proficiency:
Complete level of written Japanese - can completely understand medical articles and general business documents in Japanese, can write formal Japanese at business setting, and can write a medical article in the assigned area
Complete level of oral Japanese - can have medical discussions and build an appropriate relationship with HCPs
Advanced level of written English - can completely understand medical articles of assigned area and general business documents in English
Advanced level of oral English - can discuss, negotiate and persuade in English, can represent BMSKK Medical Strategy in a global meeting
