Whitsons Culinary Group Food Service Lead - Ossining School Nutrition in Ossinging, New York

Responsibilities: * Coordinate prepping, cooking, etc. of all food items on production schedule. * Manage and lead a team of workers according to daily menu * Serves meals to students and staff. Ensures that all meals and sales are properly accounted for. * Performs and delegates cleaning duties, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing. * Coordinate ordering and receiving of all food, beverage & paper product needed for daily service in unit. Manage all daily cash sales; reconcile pos system, complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately. * Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events. * Checks and stores incoming supplies. * Participates on safety committee. * Attends all mandatory in-service programs and on-line training * Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons. * Performs all other duties as assigned. $19 per hour * High school graduate or equivalent. * Must be proficient in recipe procedure, cooking techniques. * Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments. * Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting up to 40lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling. * Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. * Always present a positive and professional image. * Oversee 8-9 team members Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
