Robert Half Payroll and Tax Administrator in Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Description
We are in search of a Payroll and Tax Administrator to join our operations in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The primary function of this role involves managing all payroll-related activities, ensuring the organization of information within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and administering consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications in line with our policies
• Ensure the accuracy, organization, and maintenance of all HRIS data
• Proactively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Handle the preparation and processing of bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls for all locations
• Manage payroll reports distribution including general ledger
• Coordinate with HR and other departments for seamless flow and maintenance of employee data
• Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll queries
• Take charge of all garnishment and child support items processing
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of payroll taxes
• Stay up to date with all laws and regulations applicable to payroll and taxes to maintain company compliance
• Manage the preparation, processing, and accuracy of all year-end payroll requirements
• Handle payment requests for various vendors, including tax jurisdictions, Motus, union dues, Workers Comp, etc.
• Oversee monthly reporting to meet legal requirements

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as Payroll and Tax Administrator
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Ceridian
• Solid understanding and experience in Accounting Functions and Auditing
• Expertise in Multi-state Tax and State tax regulations
• Experience in Full Cycle Payroll processing and handling Garnishments
• Familiarity with Payroll - Garnishments and ability to Process Bi-weekly Payroll
• Knowledge of Payroll - Union, Union Dues, Labor Law, and Federal Labor Law
• Experience in Local Payroll Tax, Multi-state Payroll, and Multistate Payroll management
• Ability to handle Payroll for over 500 Employees and Multi-State Payroll
• Proficiency in Payroll Tax Reporting and understanding of Payroll Taxes
• Experience in handling Payroll Transactions and ability to Process Biweekly Payroll
• Experience with Payroll Vendor management
• Ability to Reconcile Payroll Prior and Reconcile Payroll regularly
• Knowledge of Tax - Payroll and ability to Process Payroll accurately
• Proficiency in HRIS Payroll System
