Develop, coach, and counsel team members to meet/exceed embroidery goals and objectives. Take ownership of the Embroidery department, and is accountable to ensure the department goals are met and customer needs are satisfied. Ensure confidentiality at all times. Work with production scheduling to meet timely delivery of products. Coordinate scheduling and approval of absences in connection with production needs. Provide ongoing suggestions regarding production workflow, scheduling and productivity. Develop guidelines and processes that measure and assess performance standards for productivity and quality. Provide support and work to implement lean manufacturing initiatives within the department. Work with quality team to improve the customer experience. Coordinate hiring of new associates or use of temporary workers with the HR department and/or temporary agencies. Assist in training of new embroidery department personnel and coordinate training for team members within the department. Conduct regular one on ones with team members (frequency will depend on the size of the team) Address performance and behavioral concerns on the team working with HR where appropriate.
