Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Location: Oshkosh, WI

Job Type: Onsite Monday-Friday

Salary: $50-65,000/year DOE

We are hiring a Desktop Support Technician for our client based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In this role you'll be responsible for providing technical support to internal users, maintaining systems, and troubleshooting technical issues. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

• Installing and configuring software and hardware to ensure optimal functionality.

• Establishing and maintaining computer workstations and peripheral devices to facilitate ease of use.

• Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as system upgrades, backups, and antivirus software updates to ensure the long-term efficiency of the network.

• Resolving system failures and identifying bottlenecks to prevent future issues.

• Providing training and technical support to users on software and hardware use.

• Logging all technical issues and solutions in our IT system for tracking and future reference.

• Performing daily checks on the organization's IT systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Collaborating with the IT team and other departments to optimize the company’s IT system.

• Promptly responding to all IT-related tickets to ensure minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Tech or similar role in IT support.

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining computer hardware systems.

• Knowledge and experience in utilizing and managing Active Directory.

• Familiarity with MS Office 365 and its components.

• Proven experience in computer imaging and deploying systems.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues related to hardware, software, and network.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with end-users and IT team members.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• Willingness to stay updated on the latest technology trends and applications.

• Relevant certifications in IT and computer systems would be advantageous.
