Our Operations Managers are at the hub of energy in each and every location. You assist in the overall stores success from implementing processes, managing our team members and ensuring buyers they receive the Kane’s 5 star customer service experience.

Responsible for maintaining the overall efficiency and effectiveness and administration of the inventory and warehouse operations. Responsible for completion and accuracy of warehouse documents. Assists with or is the manager on duty for the stores as applicable. Is a leader in the store to ensure that the compliance of safety initiatives are followed and ensures that company policies and procedures are followed. Holds staff accountable for achieving superior customer service both to our internal customers (Kane’s employees) as well as our buying customers.

Responsible for maintaining the overall efficiency and effectiveness and administration of the inventory and warehouse operations. Responsible for completion and accuracy of warehouse documents. Assists with or is the manager on duty for the stores as applicable. Is a leader in the store to ensure that the compliance of safety initiatives are followed and ensures that company policies and procedures are followed. Holds staff accountable for achieving superior customer service both to our internal customers (Kane’s employees) as well as our buying customers.

Operational Responsibilities:

a. Runs morning reports to analyze what activities will be required to accomplish daily tasks

b. Manages inventory; ensures that the appropriate reports are completed to maintain accuracy of stock; prepares store for inventories that occur in the location; checks to determine where variances are and researches to correct where issues occur.

c. Checks in the Transfer Trucks; ensures that the product is accurately checked in per the manifest; communicates to Inventory Control where variances are noted.

d. Handles all In-Store-Transfers for the location to and from the Distribution Center.

Associate Leadership Responsibilities:

a. Provides leadership to the warehouse and housekeeping staff; ensures that they have the tasks completed as outlined each day; reviews and critics the work done in the location and manages to what needs to be improved and praises where appropriate.

b. Trains and directs assigned personnel

Communication and Coordination Responsibilities:

a. Keeps management informed of the status of ongoing projects. Ensures that established deadlines are met and requests extensions as appropriate.

b. Provides document copies, files, statistical reports, etc. as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Leadership experience within a Furniture or Big Box retailer

• Experienced leading a commissioned sales team

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines

• Recruiting and interviewing skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to train, lead, motivate teams to exceed expectations

• Inspiring enthusiasm

• A strong work ethic and dedication

• Professional demeanor

Experience Required:

Minimum of three years of related experience in a Retail setting. Supervisory experience preferred.
