Job Title: Traveling Superintendent of Construction

Job Description

Manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they adhere to plans, schedules, and quality standards. Supervise on-site teams, including subcontractors, craftsmen, and vendors, and serve as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution across multiple sites. Coordinate the acquisition of materials and equipment and manage project logistics. Troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction process and ensure projects are completed in a secure and law-abiding manner.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, from planning to completion.

  • Supervise and coordinate on-site teams, including subcontractors, craftsmen, and vendors.

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Coordinate the acquisition of materials and equipment.

  • Manage project logistics.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the construction process.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in construction management and project oversight.

  • Strong supervisory skills with experience managing subcontractors and on-site teams.

  • Proficient in commercial construction and general contractor duties.

  • Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA 30 certification.

  • Proficient in using Procore for project scheduling and management.

  • Experience with ground-up construction and tenant improvements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2.5-5 years of field experience as a superintendent.

  • Must be open to 75% travel.

Work Environment

Reconstruction of existing buildings and facilities. Includes company truck and fuel card. For out-of-state projects, there are opportunities to fly home every other weekend. Quarterly bonuses based on project completion and yearly bonuses based on company profit.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00

• A life insurance policy in the amount of $50,000 will be provided to you upon completion of 90 days of service with Coastal.• A company truck and fuel card, including maintenance and insurance, valued at roughly $13,000 yearly.• Health insurance and dental insurance coverage will be available to you if you are eligible, and if you so elect, after you complete 30 days of continued employment with Coastal. Coastal covers 100% of the HSA plan for employee only. This is roughly a $5,400 package yearly.• $50.00 monthly towards your current cell phone plan for personal cell phone usage. This equates to $600 annually.• You will be eligible to participate in the 401K Retirement Plan and matching with 100% vesting after six months of service with Coastal. Coastal matches 100% of the first 3% of your salary and 50% of the next 2% of salary contributions.
