Robert Half is offering an employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Orlando, Florida. As a Staff Accountant, your role will primarily involve handling various accounting duties such as bank reconciliations, fixed assets, banking activities, and other relevant tasks. This role offers a contract to hire opportunity. You will be working in a typical office environment with potential for remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting bank transactions and activities

• Engaging in the daily reconciliation of accounts

• Processing refunds and dividends

• Handling deposits of various types

• Managing the funding of 401Ks

• Maintaining and tracking fixed assets such as company laptops

• Performing bank reconciliations

• Utilizing QuickBooks and Sage Intacct for financial tasks

• Monitoring and maintaining the general ledger

• Crafting journal entries and managing month-end close

• Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of check deposits

Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field.

• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations is essential.

• Profound knowledge of managing and maintaining the general ledger is required.

• Experience in preparing and recording journal entries is a must.

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures is necessary.

• Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage Intacct is expected.

• Experience in handling check deposits is needed.

• Must have knowledge of managing fixed assets.

• Experience in dealing with dividends is required.

• Ability to process refunds effectively and efficiently is essential.

• Proficiency in inventory tracking is necessary.

• Experience in performing daily reconciliation is a must.
