Summary
The Audio Specialist will assist the Senior Audio Engineer and Production Manager or Account Executive in the selection and design of audio equipment in response to the needs of our clients, based on budgetary guidelines and accepted technical standards. Supervise labor crews and assist with the planning and organization of delivery, setup and dismantle of equipment at show site. Shop projects and general maintenance of audio equipment will be included in the job description.
This role will help cover special events for intermittent periods of time with scheduled hours fluctuating weekly.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Orlando, FL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Interface with the Sales staff, Account Executives, Production Managers, Department Managers and the Senior Audio Engineer concerning event production and operational procedures
Create or approve audio designs, equipment pull sheets for projects based upon event budgets, show requirements, client expectations and company standards
Hold show-site responsibilities ranging from Lead Audio Engineer, Monitor Engineer, Audio Assist, System Tech, and Equipment Coordinator
Load-in, load-out, install, dismantle, labor direction, system engineering, console and equipment operation and client relations at show-site
Work directly with Inventory Control to ensure complete equipment coverage on shows
Coordinate and/or assist both technical and labor crews
Coordinate with Inventory Control to schedule and pull equipment
Oversee the distribution and return logistics of high end audio systems
Assist with inventory control, equipment pulling, loading, tracking and restoring of equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- 2 Years college or technical trade school and/or 2 years related experience with a professional sound company or national A/V company or equivalent combination
Travel Requirements
Travel 25% to 50%
