SUMMARY

Responsible for contributing to development of an enterprise portal serving 1M users. Participates in agile delivery teams to produce new features that deliver features with high quality and reliability. Assists other developers in owned components and other fundamental expertise areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains the existing system by updating and fixing reported issues.

• Performs unit and integration testing of software, troubleshooting and debugging of the system.

• Responsible for development of software design documentation and test scenarios.

• Participates in software peer reviews.

• Seeks and participates in personal development opportunities to maintain a detailed knowledge of industry standards, engineering best practices, and business needs.

• Technical leadership of project components or features.

• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical Science (e.g. Engineering).

• Two plus (2+) years industry experience

• Experience with design, development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and debugging of web applications.

• Experience with software development tools and technology such as Docker, Nexus, Git, Gradle, Groovy, Gogo Shell, IntelliJ IDEA, Fortify.

• Background with full stack development (Java, SQL, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML)

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks (U.S. Citizenship required).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Strong understanding of concepts in Computer Science (data structures, run time, common algorithms).

• Experienced debugger who can put out fires under pressure when things go wrong in production environments.

• Has knowledge of a variety of modern software frameworks (server side & browser side) and the versatility to learn new tools.

• Self-starter who is comfortable working with various skill sets including other developers and system engineers.

• Upbeat and passionate about computer programming.

• Organized and efficient with ability to document all stages of the design solutions.

• Experience in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.).

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Web service, React, or Mobile Code development experience is a plus.

Job Requirements:

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-Time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS :

• Pay is $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
