Lockheed Martin Reliability Engineering Manager in Orlando, Florida

Description:

You will be the Reliability Manager for the Close Combat System programs team. Our team is responsible for executing Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability analysis activities to ensure the development of highly reliable products that meet company, customer, and governmental agency objectives.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Reliability Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of individual contributors in the execution of reliability analysis activities, including technical reliability studies, failure investigations, and risk assessment analysis. You will ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and drive the development of system design improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

•Leading the execution of Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability analysis activities

•Developing and conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts

•Participating in failure investigations and root cause/corrective action identification

•Supporting proposal activities and providing inputs for Reliability, Maintainability, and Testability

•Preparing and delivering presentations to Program Management and customers

•Recognizing opportunities for improvement based on failure data and supporting development and implementation of system design improvements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

• Strong technical background with Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering or engineering Technology fields and previous professional technical experience

• Knowledge and experience with Reliability Engineering design practices (MIL-STD-1629).

• Knowledge of and experience with implementation of Supportability Engineering practices.

• FRACAS Analysis process and driving failure investigations to root cause and corrective action.

• Reliability Prediction Analysis using Windchill Quality Solutions (WQS)/Relex or like Software.

• Reliability FMECA Process/Analysis including a general understanding of circuit design and schematics.

• BIT Development and BIT Effectivity Analysis

• Strong Computer Skills including MS Office.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.

• Candidate should be an analytical thinker with demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovations.

• Experience collaborating with and working in conjunction with other functions and engineering groups to achieve desirable results

• Ability to communicate, effectively interface and influence multiple levels of executives and a broad range of internal and external customers

• Experience with Missile Systems and/or Fire control systems

• Demonstration of full spectrum leadership qualities

Desired Skills:

Active Secret Security Clearance

Experience with LM Corporate policies and

procedures and background in major DoD

military tactical missiles/weapons systems

Experience with the following:

- Reliability test experience

- Proficient with technical presentations to senior management

- Experience in managing technical personnel

highly desired

- Earned value management experience

- Experience with technical proposal activities

including Technical Volume development,

manpower estimation and BOE production

- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of

software products

- Candidate should also be an agile thinker and executor able to move from a strategic level to the implementation level in interactions with

multiple audiences and groups

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
