Lockheed Martin Quality Program Manager in Orlando, Florida

Description: The Quality Program Manager (QPM) in the Land and Maritime training Solutions portfolio will lead the Quality Program Team (QPT) team for this key collection of contracts within the Land and Maritime Solutions Market Segment. The role of the QPM is to implement the program’s Quality plan and lead the Quality team ensuring compliance to industry standards, contractual requirements, and customer expectations. The QPM serves as a single focal point for Quality (Customer, Program Management, Functions) and leads the Quality Program Team in all aspects including Hardware Quality, Systems & Software Quality, Supplier Quality, and Production Operations Quality, and through all areas of the program / product lifecycle. The QPM ensures communication and flow down of requirements to internal teams and the external supply base. The QPM may also supplement Quality team surveillance as required. The QPM is responsible to develop and manage the Quality program budget. The QPM analyzes quality performance data (manufacturing data, engineering design metrics), identifies recurring issues, drives root cause analysis and corrective actions, partners with internal and external customers to solution concerns, and raises quality performance issues to senior leadership as needed. The QPM also serves as the Program Excellence Plan (PEP) coordinator.

Roles & Responsibility of QPM:

- Ensures Quality Engineering, Inspection and Auditor resources are in place to support surveillance activity and upcoming deliverables

- Flows Program and Quality related information to Quality Program Team (QPT) and ensure priorities are communicated and understood

- Reviews Quality data for trends (favorable or unfavorable) and performs root cause analysis as needed

- Communicates with DCMA and end-contract customers regarding upcoming joint customer events

- Collaborates with Engineering & Technology, Production Operations regarding process questions or changes

- Provides Quality activity progress update and accomplishments to program leadership and site senior leadership in support of regular business rhythm

- Ensures appropriate Root Cause and Corrective Actions are taken

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered an emerging authority

• Self-starter who is detail oriented, well organized, and able to self-prioritize and complete tasks within in a dynamic and demanding environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to build and provide briefings and status reports.

• Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills working within a diverse environment and across many disciplines

• Strong Customer Relationship Management skills

• Strong background and understanding of hardware and supplier Quality processes

• Project and Team Leadership skills

• Previous experience in Quality Engineering and/or related discipline processes

• Understanding of Quality processes, methods and industry standards for development and manufacturing

• Quality Process Auditing experience.

• Strong knowledge of Root Cause analysis techniques and Corrective Actions experience

• Knowledge of customer (DCMA) inspection/acceptance/DD250 processing

• Experience in Process and performance measurement: developing, collecting, and analyzing metrics.

• Lean/Six Sigma Certified Greenbelt

• Working knowledge and experience with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.

• Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and the development of Quality function Bases of Estimates (BOEs)

•Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Formal Lead Auditor Training / Certification (ISO9000, AS9100)

• Formal Root Cause Analysis Training / Certification

• Familiar with software Quality and courseware Quality processes & evaluations

• Experience or familiarity with Engineering disciplines (Mechanical Eng, System Eng, SW Development, HW Eng, Integration & Test) and the Engineering Lifecycle and Processes

• Cost Account Manager (CAM) or comparable experience in working with Earned Value Management (EVM)

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Agile methods

• Familiarity with MS Project and program Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS)

• Experienced in Tableau Dashboard creation

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Risks/Ops Management and usage of ROADs

• Demonstrated experience utilizing common tools set (DOORs, JIRA, SAP, COS, EPDM, etc.)

• Experience with Military Land Vehicles

• Current Active Secret Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
