Robert Half Payroll Analyst in Orlando, Florida

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the program development and management of all US-based incentive bonus programs for including annual, monthly, and quarterly bonuses.

Serve as the resource for interpreting federal, state, and local laws related to compensation programs to ensure compliance, including minimum wage updates.

Assists in the development of job grades and salary bands for US-based team members. Regularly reviews again survey and market data to ensure they are up to date.

Participate in salary surveys and analyze data to determine internal and external competitiveness.

Evaluate job positions for classification, exempt/non-exempt status, and appropriate salary levels.

Create executive summaries and dashboards for compensation metrics.

Assist the VP HR and Talent Acquisition Team in processing various documents, including employment offers, promotions/demotions, and termination packages.

Audit timesheet records and payroll files. Communicate any timesheet discrepancies with managers and employees and advise the payroll team of any corrections and adjustments in a timely manner.

Perform data entry in the Dayforce system for new hires, terminations, compensation changes, promotions, manager updates and benefit cost updates.

Manage employee inquiries about payroll policies/practices.

Research payroll tax issues and provide resolution.

Manage all received garnishments and ensure they are processed in a timely manner.

Communicate with team members and managers regarding payroll issues and questions as required.

Monitors payroll activities for all divisions; generates and audits payroll reports to ensure accuracy and reconciles payroll prior to finalization.

Send monthly and biweekly reports to division personnel as needed (i.e., overtime reports) and resolve any issues that come up as a result of these notices.

Prepare, review, and resolve payroll reports related to unpaid time off requests, and unauthorized hours report for appropriate payroll week.

When payroll has been closed, audit system data to ensure that all new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, and manager updates were processed correctly.

Process retirement contribution plan changes, additions, and terminations of retirement benefits and maintain and review audit reports at least every two months to confirm accuracy.

Process benefits changes, qualifying life event benefit deduction changes, and benefits terminations in the appropriate pay period.

Responsible for processing all Tuition Reimbursement, EHOP, referral and sign-on bonuses.

Conducts periodic/scheduled audits for all active-term employees, salary changes, and promotions to ensure they are all under the right department and job code.

Ensures personnel records are accurately reflected in the Dayforce system.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator Proficiency in Ceridian Day Force is required

Strong knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various departments

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information

Experience with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
