Siemens Energy Head of Technical Regulations and Standardization (f/m/d) in Orlando, Florida

A Snapshot of Your Day

Technical regulations and standards largely determine the market access criteria for our products, systems and solutions and are the prerequisites for approval when placing our products on the markets. They are consequently an element in ensuring regulatory compliance.

In your role as Siemens Energy TR&S Expert, your daily focus is on:

  • Advise at an early stage on relevant market access conditions and to actively shape them, thereby opening up the market for new products with our technologies.

  • Ensure that applicable technical and binding regulations related to the placing on the market, approval and further marketing of products, systems and installations are identified and complied with.

  • Collect feedback on emerging standards and regulations that will affect SE products and market access and provide feedback to product lines, on changes to standards and regulations that require review to ensure continued market access.

  • In your role you will lead a virtual team (TR&S organization) with a defined team structure consisting of technical teams, TR&S specialists, Regions / Hubs representatives and Market Access Conditions Information team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Maintaining TR&S standard, define and align mandate and minimum requirements with process owners

  • Set up TR&S high level processes on governance and guidance, access to standards, changes to requirements for products and services (including Market Access Conditions), Standardization activities, Compliance with technical regulation.

  • Ensure information on Regulatory updates on business needs for core products.

  • Coordinate standardization activities across Core Products and innovative products

What You Bring

  • University degree in engineering

  • Comprehensive knowledge and correct application of technical regulations and standards within the Energy business

  • longstanding practical experience within TR&S and proven certifications

  • Several years of experience as active member of a national or international standardization committee

  • Very good English skills , German preferable
