THE WORK

This is a full-time position as an F-35 Instructor Pilot located in Florennes, Belgium and is part of a Special Access Program.

As an F-35 instructor and Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide academic training through Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and Interactive Courseware (ICW). You will provide instruction using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS), operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS), and will be a SME for all pilot training courseware updates.

As a successful candidate, you will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to fulfill F-35 training objectives. You will implement, and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs, and policies as directed. This candidate may also be requested to augment training objectives and instruction at other F-35 operational/training sites as needed.

Instructs pilots in flight procedures and techniques in ground school courses and flight training. Prepares lesson plans. Acts as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in the area of aviation and provides assistance in creation of training material. Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student. Evaluates and monitors students’ performance.

Basic Qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems, operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as Night Vision devices, EO/IR targeting systems, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest air-to-surface and air-to-air weapons inventory.

- Prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training and be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.

- Experience in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.

- Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.

- Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.

- Active secret clearance with investigation within 5 years and required to obtain Special Access Program approval.

Desired Skills:

- Current or demonstrated experience as an USAF/USN/USMC IP with multi-role fighter experience.

Former Weapon School, Top Gun, or MAWTS graduate desired.

- Fourth/Fifth generation Full Mission Simulator (FMS) experience as an operator and/or instructor.

- F-35 flight experience is highly desired.

- Minimum of 1000 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation multi-role fighter aircraft.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
