Lockheed Martin Engineering & Fabrication Support Team Member/ Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (LMMFC) is seeking a Development & Prototype Fabrication Support Team member for the Engineering & Prototype Laboratory (EPL). As the successful candidate in this role, you will be required to work independently with limited support from the EPL Manufacturing & Engineering staff and be comfortable working in a “Build to Print” Machining and Fabrication environment.

Responsibilities to Include:

• Managing raw material receipt, material inventory management and control

• Lead and optimize EPL’s shop floor consumable material & management control process

• Lead EPL’s calibrated tool management & control process

• Take a leading role in supporting 6S & Lean Process improvements for the facility

• Maintain operating policies documentation to ensure the Lab is operating per Command Media requirements

• Develop, maintain and optimize operational processes and procedures to support efficient operation

• Support Lab Process Audits as required

• Other Duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have an active/current driver's license and ability to learn to drive a fork lift

• Experience working in a fast-paced Manufacturing Environment

• Experience in the operation of Bandsaws and general Machining & Fabrication Shop Machinery

• Raw Material (Metals, Hardware, Chemicals) knowledge and handling experience

• Willingness and ability to coordinate and support Machinist / Model Makers and Staff by providing precut raw material in support of developmental hardware machining operations.

• Must be capable of receiving, storing / retrieving, identifying, marking, tracking raw material consumption and allocation, to facilitate raw material replenishment.

• Skilled in problem solving techniques and methods (process, product & procedure)

• Experienced with Computers & Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Willingness and ability to take on the development of Manufacturing Operations processes & procedures

• Due to facility requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens

Desired Skills:

• Current Active Forklift Certification w/ Lockheed MFC

• Familiar with Shipping & Receiving Processes

• Technical knowledge of different types of Materials i.e.

Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium etc.

• Knowledge of Measuring Tools i.e. Calipers,

Micrometers, Thread Gages etc

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
