You will be a Fabrication Technician for the Test Engineering department. Our team is responsible for designing and fabricating equipment for the development and manufacture of tactical hardware, driving innovation and excellence in our field.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, working closely with engineering teams to bring designs to life. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, utilizing computer-based programs to update job status, conduct quality inspections, and implement engineering changes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Fabricate electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies (and sub-assemblies) from engineering drawings

• Utilize computer-based programs to update job status, conduct quality inspections, and implement engineering changes

• Communicate issues and design/process requirements with management and engineers (both verbally and in writing)

• Collaborate with engineering teams to drive innovation and excellence in equipment design and fabrication

• Work independently with minimal supervision, using problem-solving skills to overcome challenges

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

- 3 years of experience may be in other fabrication environments including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design product.

- Must have Prior Certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721

- Experience fabricating electrical equipment designed from a blueprint, schematic, and engineering guides.

- Experience with utilizing Microsoft Office suite programs

Desired Skills:

- Experience with fabricating cable and harness assemblies

- Experience communicating issues (both verbal and written) with the design and/or the process requirements to management and or engineers.

- Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials

- Experience interpreting and building to Lockheed Martin Test Equipment engineering

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
