ENTRUST Solutions Group Design Engineer I in Orlando, Florida

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer in the following locations:

  • Tampa Bay, FL

  • Orlando, FL

What You’ll Do:

  • Will be responsible for the design of overhead and underground electrical utility projects. This includes detailed construction drawings, an accurate bill of materials, and providing supporting documentation such as pole force loading calculations, voltage drop calculations and permitting when needed.

  • You will periodically perform field visits to inspect infrastructure.

  • You will periodically go to the job site to support pre-construction questions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Entry level – 3 years of experience design engineering role.

  • ABET accredited engineering degree.

  • Familiarity with electrical distribution concepts would be beneficial.

  • Familiarity with drafting tools – Autocad, mo

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Problem solving skills.

  • Aptitude to learn and develop technical skills.

Software Requirements

  • Microsoft Office

  • Drafting / Design software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Design is a plus.

  • Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment.

  • Benefits & Salary: This position pays between $71,000 and $73,000 annually and is an exempt position.

  • Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

  • Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.

  • May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
