The Opportunity

Our team at EY is dedicated to empowering our clients in the Life Science sector with innovative data management strategies and solutions. As a Manager specializing in Data Management and Strategy, you will work closely with clients to develop and implement data strategies that support their scientific and business goals. You will be part of a diverse team that collaborates to solve challenging problems and deliver value in areas such as drug discovery, clinical trials, and patient data analytics. This role requires a passion for learning, staying ahead of industry trends, and the ability to adapt to new ways of working. Your Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients design and execute data management strategies that enhance their ability to make data-driven decisions. You will lead teams that develop solutions to unify, enrich, and extract insights from complex data sets within the Life Science sector. Your focus will be on navigating the intricacies of data governance, quality, architecture, and analytics to support modern data science and software engineering initiatives. You will guide and perform technical tasks to ensure that data management solutions are well-engineered, scalable, and aligned with the ongoing business needs of our clients.

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6-10 years of full-time working experience in Data Management, Data Strategy, or related fields.

  • 2-4 years of experience managing technical teams.

  • At least 2 years of experience in the Life Science domain, developing data management strategies for Life Science challenges.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data architecture principles.

  • Experience with data management frameworks and best practices in the Life Science sector.

  • Extensive experience with project management tools and Agile methodologies for deploying data management solutions.

  • Knowledge of data lifecycle management, including data collection, storage, processing, and archiving.

  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and business intelligence platforms.

  • Experience with data governance and stewardship tools.

  • Clear communication skills to convey findings, recommendations, and opportunities to improve data management systems and strategies.

  • Experience with data integration and interoperability across diverse systems and platforms.

  • Willingness to travel to meet client obligations.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business Administration with a focus on Data Management, or another relevant field.

  • Experience in leading data management transformation projects within the Life Science sector.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data privacy standards relevant to Life Sciences.

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $124,300 to $227,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $149,200 to $259,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
