Description:

Responsibilities - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop ideas and bring them to life. - Support asset development and maintenance across the Disneyland Resort. - Handle projects from research to minor renovations or new facilities. - Provide immediate response efforts when needed. - Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and internal Disney project teams. Architectural Owner’s Representative - Oversee projects from concept through construction. - Ensure external construction drawings align with Disney standards and comply with codes. Specific Duties - Review project concepts with stakeholders. - Develop project scopes and create RFPs for external Architects, Engineers, and Consultants. - Coordinate with Facility Assessment Management partners. - Manage project design and development. - Keep stakeholders updated during design and construction. - Enforce Walt Disney Company design guidelines and standards. - Provide concise decision matrices for executive decisions. - Leverage technical expertise and lessons learned. - Liaise with City officials and external agencies for compliant project implementation Design Coordination: - Resolve design issues creatively, coordinating with other disciplines. - Manage and execute the design and development of project construction drawings and specifications. - Ensure compliance with applicable codes and statutes. Communication and Documentation: - Respond to city plan check comments and questions. - Handle all Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals. - Provide punch walk feedback. - Gather project documentation for closeout.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications: o Professional design experience across various project and construction types. o Familiarity with design and construction practices. o Experience with architectural contract drawings and specifications. o Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite. o Knowledge of the California Building Code, health codes, CalOSHA, and the American with Disabilities Act. o Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited school. o Architectural License in the State of California. Preferred Qualifications: o Experience in master planning.
