Compensation: $70,000-$80,000/year

Position Overview:

As the Quality Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to superior quality and reliability. You will oversee all aspects of quality including processes, ensuring that operations consistently meet or exceed our standards. You will drive and champion continuous improvement initiatives, optimize throughput, minimize cycle times, and maintain compliance with housing authority requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, specifications, and inspection criteria.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Monitor and hold teams accountable to external and internal quality scores

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process optimization.

  • Train and mentor team members on quality control procedures, best practices, and quality standards.

  • Reduce the number of Final Inspection failures, ensure quick turnaround on failures to ensure successful pass rate.

  • Technical point of contact for Qualifiers, and incoming Field calls from crews and electricians

  • Full ownership over RADDs, As-Builts, Dispositions, Correction work, and MPU Verification

  • Stay up to date with industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance quality processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Management or a related field.

  • 3 years Solar PV field experience

  • 3 years in quality control or quality assurance within the solar industry or similar manufacturing environment.

  • 3 years Management experience

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools.

  • Electrical experience or certification a plus

  • PV Design Experience a plus

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of driving change and fostering a culture of quality excellence.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for ensuring the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
