Snow Manufacturing Electrical Engineer in OREM, Utah
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions in a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems, circuits, and components for a wide range of applications, such as power generation, distribution, or electronics.
- Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, and simulations to ensure system efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Create detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and other engineering teams to integrate electrical systems into larger projects.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes, regulations, and standards.
- Select and specify electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and cables.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues.
- Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation for design, testing, and compliance records.
- Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering technology, industry trends, and best practices.
- Review and evaluate vendor proposals, ensuring that electrical equipment meets project specifications and cost constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified time frame (preferred).
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MATLAB, ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Experience with power distribution, circuit design, and control systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems in industries such as energy, construction, or electronics is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills for presenting designs and collaborating with team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with testing and commissioning electrical systems is a plus.
