Position Announcement
Utah Valley University is seeking an ERP Software Services Director! The Director will manage, supervise, and monitor the activities of the ERP Software Services department, including leveraging and managing ERP portfolios and being the ERP subject matter expert. Develop and implement ERP technology strategy, roadmap, business plans, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to prioritize ERP projects and translate customer and business needs into product requirements that solve real problems or optimize business practices. Increase functional expertise and decrease defects that lead to a disruption of business functions. Responsible for departmental budget and fiscal management.
Summary of Responsibilities
• Lead a team that provides application administration, integration, and middleware services. Supervise and mentor staff. Contribute to staff development by providing feedback in regular performance reviews. Develop and implement appropriate professional development and training opportunities. Ensure improvement of collaboration to increase functional expertise and decrease defects. Provide constructive feedback to team members and functional area partners. Manage budgetary functions and make purchasing decisions for the department.
• Plan and coordinate ERP and software service projects in collaboration with other Digital Transformation staff and campus stakeholders. Articulate, propose and oversee implementation of a technology roadmap for the university's ERP solution. Develop project specifications and determine key deliverables by meeting with project owners, sponsors, and users. Troubleshoot and repair problems in production systems using sound problem solving techniques and change management principles. Offer suggestions to improve processes and provide comments on design aspects. Develop software solutions by conferring with users, studying information needs and system flows, data usage, and business processes.
• Provide subject matter expertise and leadership for the implementation of ERP solutions including enterprise data and process integration services for on-premise, hosted, and software as a service (SaaS) solutions. Research and recommend data and service integration solutions, keeping current with relevant technologies and best practices. Review and consult on project proposals, service requests, and vendor service offerings. Manage risks by planning, organizing, leading, coordinating, scheduling, and controlling product owner activities within various ERP portfolios. Develop and maintain department policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus three years of staff level experience; or an Associates degree and five years of experience related to the summary of duties; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Master's degree in a related field and two years of experience related to the summary of duties; OR any combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling eight years. (Licenses/Certifications:)

• Experience with ERP solutions, relational database concepts including SQL, data modeling, and leveraging of existing APIs.
