KBF Manager/Senior Manager, Corporate Tax in Oregon

KBF is currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Corporate Tax Services team.

The KBF Corporate Tax Services group is 100% focused on income tax accounting assistance, tax compliance, and tax consulting. This includes preparation and review of income tax provision calculations, income tax return preparation and review, assistance with day-to-day federal, state, and international tax matters that may arise, and the identification, design, and implementation of tax planning strategies. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review income tax provisions pursuant to ASC 740

  • Provide tax provision and tax compliance services for a variety of corporate clients, from start-up ventures to Fortune 500 multi-national businesses

  • Serve as the primary client service contact for a portfolio of clients; proactively recognize opportunities to provide additional services

  • Manage the delivery of accounting services to ensure technical accuracy and high-quality work product within budgetary and time constraints

  • Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on tax law, trends and developments; obtain deep technical skills in the area of accounting for income taxes

  • Lead and manage teams of tax professionals:

  1. Participate in the mentoring and development of team members; Be actively involved in team recruiting, training, and retention

  2. Review Associate and Senior work before submission to Partners for top-level review

  • Assist in administrative and operational initiatives as assigned by firm leadership

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university & licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent in their home office state; any individual who does not possess at least one of these designations/credentials when their employment commences has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials

  • Proven success supervising complete engagements, and demonstrated technical proficiency in preparing and reviewing income tax return work papers in accordance with U.S. Federal, State, and Local income tax laws; advising clients regarding tax strategies; preparing and reviewing corporate tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 standards and other guidance under U.S. GAAP

  • Motivated, quick learner with strong communication skills and demonstrated professionalism

  • Individuals must be eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Minimum experience requirements:

  1. Tax Manager: A minimum of 4 years recent Corporate Tax experience and have obtained the title of “Senior Associate” or similar designation

  2. Tax Senior Manager: A minimum of 6 years recent Corporate Tax experience and have obtained the title of “Manager” or similar designation
