Machine Repair Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician for the 1st shift to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial electricity tasks.

• Troubleshoot from wiring diagrams and blueprints.

• Install electrical components such as conduit and outlets.

• Troubleshoot electrical mechanical motor controls.

• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits.

• Apply basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.

• Repair mechanical drive systems including gears, sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, and rollers.

• Perform general fabrication tasks such as welding, torching, machining, piping, and threading.

• Conduct repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and systems.

• Assist in advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair throughout the plant.

• Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records.

• Support daily maintenance of automated equipment.

• Perform work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in machine repair.

• Journeyman's card or associate's degree/certification.

• General electric knowledge.

• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic circuits.

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical drive systems including gears, sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, and rollers.

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical motor controls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Repair and preventive maintenance experience.

• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

• Proficiency in using hand tools.

• Experience with presses, conveyors, and injection molding machines.

Work Environment

This is a Permanent position based out of Oregon, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $77209.00

This is a union company. Company provides uniforms and tool allowance. Techs will get $350 their first year and $500 after that.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Oregon,OH.
