Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Orchard Park, New York

Description We are looking for a diligent Payroll Clerk to join our team in ORCHARD PARK, New York. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating payroll records, processing garnishments, and ensuring timely processing of payrolls in accordance with approved pay policies. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process payroll data entries and maintain employee payroll records.

• Efficiently handle garnishment processes and direct deposit entries.

• Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.

• Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.

• Record employee information such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations to keep payroll records up-to-date.

• Review timesheets, work charts, wage computations, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

• Understand and accurately set up Federal, State, and Local taxes where applicable.

• Carry out ad hoc reporting and duties as required.

• Use Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce, About Time, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Auditing, Benefit Functions to ensure efficient payroll processing.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for efficient management of financial data.

• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is essential for managing payroll and human resources services.

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is required for comprehensive human capital management.

• Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce systems is necessary for efficient human resources and payroll management.

• Knowledge of About Time software is preferred for effective time and attendance tracking.

• Understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial for managing financial records accurately.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary for managing the company's bills and expenses.

• Auditing skills are essential for ensuring financial operations comply with laws and regulations.

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions is necessary for managing employee benefits programs effectively.
