JOB DESCRIPTION:
Nursing Students have an opportunity to receive training on-line to become a certified medication technician and pass meds in our Assisted Living Facility. A Medical Technician is a medical professional who plays a vital part in the health care industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer medication under the supervision of a delegating nurse and NYSDOH standardsAbility to maintain accurate records of treatments and medicationsAssist with obtaining resident medical historiesTake resident's vital signsAdministers the correct medications and dosages to residents on a daily basis
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be currently enrolled in nursing school, in good standing and in PN2 or P2 semester.
