Minimum Qualifications Education:Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited college, university, or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards in Hospital, Health Care, Public or Business Administration, or a related field.ANDExperience:Four (4) years of responsible management, administrative or supervisory experience in the health services field, including one (1) year as manager of one or more of the following areas functioning in support of clinical or treatment services: budget, fiscal, human resource management, affirmative action, information systems management, or support services in a general hospital, community mental health center, health care facility or a facility or agency providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities or mental retardation.OREducation:Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college, university, or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards in Hospital, Health Care, Public or Business Administration, or a related field.ANDExperience:Six (6) years of the experience described above including two (2) years as a manager to one or more of the following areas functioning in support of clinical or treatment services: budget, fiscal, human resource management, affirmative action, information systems management, or support services in a general hospital, community mental health center, health care facility or a facility or agency providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities or mental retardation.Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid). Duties Description The Director of Hospital Administration & Support Services is an essential member of the facility’s Executive Management Team. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Hospital Administration & Support Services will oversee the day-to-day supervision and oversight of the administrative management services including human resources; business office; physical plant and maintenance; environmental services; nutrition; and safety and security at SCPC. The Director of Hospital Administration & Support Services:• Provides management oversight and direction of Human Resources, Business Office, Physical Plant/Work Control (Maintenance, Engineering), Environmental Services/ Housekeeping, Safety & Security, and Nutrition/Food Services departments.• Establishes and implements policies, procedures, and guidelines designed to ensure the effective operation of all necessary administrative and support services.• Monitors the effectiveness of policies and ensures Joint Commission standards for Administrative Services and the Environment of Care are met.• Works in conjunction with OMH Central Office Administrative Support Services Group (ASSG) and facility staff to ensure capital projects are conducted safely, timely, and with minimal impact to operations.• Participates in and Chairs various facility committees.

Additional Comments Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center (SCPC), a Joint Commission accredited Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility is recruiting a Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1 – Administration (DDPC 1 – Admin) to serve as the Director of Hospital Administration & Support Services.SCPC in an intermediate care facility that provides mental health treatment to children and adolescents, ages 5 – 17, with serious emotional and psychiatric disturbances in Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island. Located in Dix Hills, NY, SCPC provides an integrated, family-based inpatient psychiatric treatment program with the goal of returning children to their families with minimal disruption. In addition to SCPC’s inpatient facility, they provide a network of outpatient services, including school-based mental health clinics, intensive day treatment program, children’s mobile integration team, community based programs, and crisis respite program. SCPC focuses on delivering the best clinical practices in a safe and therapeutic setting.
