Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the transport industry, based in Orange Park, Florida. This role involves heavy reconciliations, auditing of accounts and making General Ledger Journal Entry adjustments. The position is on-site with flexibility as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reconciliations to establish a new accounting team for success by auditing chart of accounts for inconsistencies.

• Work diligently to audit a 2-year backlog and make General Ledger Journal Entry adjustments after reconciling.

• Apply your knowledge of GAAP and IFRS (financials roll to international parent company).

• Utilize Great Plains and SAP for various accounting tasks.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), if applicable.

• Contribute to the implementation of SAP in addition to the current usage of Great Plains.

• Maintain a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the transport industry.

• Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation.

• Proficient in using SAP and Great Plains (GPAC) software.

• Comprehensive understanding and practical application of GAAP Accounting.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
