Responsibilities This temporary position is an executive director in training program designed to develop high potential behavioral health leaders (identified from the marketplace or internally). The employee works within a current operating residential treatment market and work closely under the tutelage of an experienced Executive Director, VP of Residential Services, and COO. During the training period candidates will focus on key areas of the business, gaining expertise in the functions of managing and creating a successful team including functional areas such as clinical care model, regulatory requirements and licensing, service excellence, finance, business development, marketing and admissions. After successfully completion of the training and demonstration of high levels of performance in their assigned market, the incumbent may be placed as Executive Directors within the Newport Healthcare network of care sites. Relocation to the assigned market is required for both the training program and Executive Director placement. Plan, organize, and implement routine operations elements as well as opportunity focused initiatives. Provide direct supervision to staff and key functions for assigned department(s.) Participate in preparing and analyzing KPI reports. Utilize KPI data and observations from being present with staff and managers to identify opportunities and proposing strategies and tactics for maximizing the opportunity. Assume a leadership role in developing, implementing and coordinating strategies and programs with teams to improve pillar goal performance including quality, volumes, growth and service. Contribute at a leadership level to the positive and productive culture by listening to employee opinions, responding timely, and making recommendations to the Executive Director. Implement administrative, personnel, and program policies. Lead and execute assigned projects that add value to the organization as a whole and/or support the highest level of safety, quality, and client experience in the assigned program. Assist with executing the organizational and leadership vision throughout the program. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or clinical specialty preferred. Minimum 4 years' experience in healthcare operations/management or equivalent combination of education, experience and training required. Working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations. Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management. Working knowledge of operations and financial management and marketing frameworks. Willingness and ability to relocate as needed.
