Description

Unleash your potential as a Corporate Controller in the dynamic world of construction, right here in Ontario, California! This thrilling role places you at the heart of a team, entrusting you with the management of accounting practices and financial reports.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounting practices including inventory, fixed assets and payroll management

• Conduct financial analysis to interpret trends, budget variances and provide advice in line with established financial policy

• Manage the monthly close process, including account reconciliation, journal entries and financial statement preparation

• Maintain the company's accounting, costing, analysis, budgeting, cash management and financial reporting

• Oversee preparation of accurate and timely budgets, forecasts and strategic financial plans

• Ensure that accounting records are prepared, maintained and reported in accordance with GAAP

• Prepare support schedules to assist in income tax reporting

• Direct the maintenance of fixed asset records and reports, including depreciation accounts

• Establish methods to ensure proper capitalization and expensing by class

• Coordinate with external auditors as needed

• Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Microsoft Excel for managing accounting functions and commercial property management

• Approve departmental schedules, procedures, systems and methods for timely and accurate reporting of financial data.

Requirements

• MUST have experience in Residential Homes Development industry.

• Experience in Commercial Property Management

• Understanding of Residential Construction processes

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• 10+ years of experience in accounting / 5+ years of experience as a Controller.

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Experience in creating and managing Annual Budgets

• Expertise in Auditing processes and procedures

• Familiarity with Budget Processes in a corporate setting

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements

• Experience conducting Financial Statement Audits

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation

• Working knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software system

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting
