Job Description:The Office of Business Services is looking for a detail-oriented, talented professional to support New York State procurement operations. As a Business Service Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting with the University's procurement processes. This will include assisting with contracts, bidding opportunities (such as Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and Requests for Quotes), maintaining and reporting on major procurement agreements, and ensuring ongoing contract compliance. Additionally, supporting our commitment to inclusivity by assisting with New York State Certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Owned Businesses (MWBE/SDVOB) programs.Working closely with cross functional teams, you will assist with training initiatives to build university-wide understanding of procurement practices and promote streamlined, efficient processes that serve our institution. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team, committed to serving the members of the University community, our students, and their families.To learn more about the University and the department, please visit https://suny.oneonta.edu/ or https://suny.oneonta.edu/procurement-and-travelDuties include but are not limited to:Gather and analyze procurement-related data for use in decision-making.Keep current with all regulatory and governmental requirements related to NYS and SUNY procurement.Conduct procurement solicitations from initial request to final contract approval, including Request for Proposals, Request for Quotes, Invitation for Bids, and other formal procurements.Work proactively and collaborate with university departments to ensure their understanding of NYS and SUNY Policies and Procedures as they relate to procurement & contracts.Oversight of the University's compliance with NYS MWBE and SDVOB programs.Evaluate business services area processes, policies, and technology to identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, simplify, and design new or improved business processes as needed.Act as the University liaison for affiliation agreements for internship placements.Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience.
