Federal Reserve Bank Regional Affairs Intern in Omaha, Nebraska

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City has an opening for a ten week summer internship position at the Omaha Branch office in the Regional Affairs department. The position will assist staff economists on several ongoing research projects to help support the department's regional initiatives surrounding agricultural economics. Candidates having earned, or currently enrolled in, a graduate degree program in economics or agricultural economics graduate programs are preferred. Highly qualified individuals having earned an undergraduate degree, or are currently enrolled, in economics, business, or finance programs may also be considered.

Key Activities:

• Provide support for the Bank’s agricultural research and outreach

• Analyze data using appropriate statistical methods

• Develop and document data collection processes

Qualifications - External

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in the economics of food and agriculture

• Exceptional academic record

• Strong analytical foundation

• Solid written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work independently toward desired goals
