Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Process prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.

  • Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Notify supervisor on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.

  • Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.

  • Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.

  • Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles, and keeping inventory neat and arranged in order. May assist in physical inventory.

  • Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.

  • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.

  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.

  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Pharmacy technician certification

  • Pharmacy technician license

  • 1+ years of related experience (technical knowledge/skills may substitute for experience)

  • Work Environment

The work environment is typically low to moderate noise level. The employee will need to interact effectively with others in an office environment, manage conflict, and handle stressful situations and deadlines. Physical demands include the ability to communicate clearly, move about the office/pharmacy, operate computers and other office equipment, stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The position usually offers flexible hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no weekends

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00
