A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Manager, Talent Assessments will play a crucial role in driving talent strategy and development within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and evaluation of assessment programs, including leadership assessments, executive simulations, and feedback. Additionally, this role will support talent management initiatives and succession planning.
Essential Functions:
This role reports to the Director, Talent and Data Analytics.
Lead Assessment Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive assessment strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives and talent needs.
Consult with Business Leaders: Partner with business leaders to understand their specific talent challenges and recommend assessment solutions.
Stay Current on Assessment Trends: Stay informed about the latest assessment methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure the organization's assessment practices remain cutting-edge.
Develop and Enhance Tools: Develop and enhance tools, processes, and resources to execute talent management, assessment, and analytics strategies.
Leadership Development: Support leadership development initiatives aligned with talent strategy and business needs. Facilitate leadership essentials development courses.
Succession Planning: Support the VP of Talent Management with the succession planning process and assist HR Business Partners in talent review and succession planning sessions.
Collaborate on Talent Strategy: Collaborate with the talent management team to identify data inputs/outputs to support talent strategy.
Maintain Talent Dashboards: Maintain a dashboard of metrics that support the organization's key talent strategies.
Lead Talent Assessment: Execute talent assessment planning across level roles in the organization, including communication, execution, measurement, and follow-up.
Feedback & Coaching: Administer and provide feedback on behavioral assessment results. Provide coaching to managers, directors, and senior leaders.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Preferred Bachelors with 6+ years of experience or Associates Degree with 8+ years of experience or 10+ years of experience.
Excellent analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and research methods.
Assessment interpretation skills.
Ability to travel domestically up to 10%, including overnight stays.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel-advanced, and PowerPoint).
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred, with focus in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or similar field.
Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
Data analytics and statistical methods knowledge.
Assessment or survey design and interpretation knowledge.
Hogan Assessments Certification.
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is typically performed in an office setting. The incumbent is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as talk and listen on the phone and in personal conversations or meetings. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms while working in the office with various files and forms and while working on the computer. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
