Job Title: GIS Technician

Job Description

Join our GIS team, providing cartographic and interactive maps and GIS data to the public and internal stakeholders. This position includes responsibilities such as digital work orders, facility maintenance, and ensuring data quality. Collaborate with various departments to support data requests and participate in special projects using GIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform digital work order.

• Maintain facilities and ensure data quality.

• Collaborate with various departments to support data requests.

• Participate in special projects utilizing GIS.

• Use ESRI desktop and mobile software to collect construction as-built data.

• Support data quality by understanding data requirements.

• Complete basic editing to maintain data integrity.

• Workflow work orders throughout the as-built lifecycle.

• Conduct testing to support database and application changes.

• Assist with miscellaneous mapping and data inquiries.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Geography.

• 3-5 years of previous GIS experience, preferably in utilities.

• Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and utility design.

• Experience with transmission and distribution.

• Basic understanding of ESRI software.
