The Coordinator of Student Leadership Programs reports to the Executive Director of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Inclusion. The Coordinator of Leadership Programs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the development, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive leadership development program. The position will advise student government, Student Government Agencies, and other student organizations to elevate leadership opportunities for students and enhance their overall leadership development and skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. The Coordinator of Student Leadership Programs is responsible for monitoring executive leadership within student government, adept at shepherding the annual SABC process, and possessing in-depth knowledge of the student organizations corporation funding structure. Additionally, this position will help to identify and implement best practices for student leadership development, and evaluate the impact of leadership programs on student success. This role is critical for the universitys retention and recruitment efforts, as it helps to create a supportive and engaging campus environment that fosters a sense of belonging and encourages students to take on leadership roles. By providing opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills, the Coordinator of Student Leadership Programs will contribute to the overall success and growth of the university, and help to prepare students for future career opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in leadership development, student affairs, or a related area.
